Words from the Builder:

The design and build on this site was unique in that the lot was not a traditionally shaped lot and the home was designed to fit the lot and terrain and at the same time take in the lake and views. The home was built for an Owner who stated to the builder he would probably only come up once after the home was built to see the end result as it was being built for their children and grand children to use as a vacation home.

The Owners are busy people and are very involved as owners of a major league sports team so they have a busy travel schedule. This left many of the decisions with the builder and architect. The owners would get a list of questions from the builder and make their decisions at home and communicate to the builder through Jim Chesler, a partner with Paul Griggs, in Chesler-Griggs Construction Management, Inc.

As it turned out, the Owners are extremely pleased with the results and have been using the home more often than they had originally thought. Reclaimed timber trusses where brought in from Montana for the living room. And the slab granite kitchen is very lively in blue. Doors and Cabinets are Alder and are a full seven feet tall. The massive exterior decks on two floors are built using Ironwood and are truly spectacular. Custom milled log siding was chinked for the log look and massive granite at the garage and entry as well as the fireplace are truly impressive.
